Meet Kim Jones

My ties run deep in Southern Oregon - my parents moved here from LA in the late sixties and as kids we thought this was heaven on earth. From spending summers at our ranch riding horses, learning to ski at Mt. Ashland, cheering at the Black Tornado games - we experienced many wonderful years growing up and several in my family have lived here ever since. 

After attending U of O and U of O law school, I decided to head to Hollywood in order to become a talent agent (which I thought would be a lot more fun than practicing law!). I worked my way up from Business Affairs attorney at Triad Artists, then became a Vice President at the William Morris Agency, which represented some of the biggest stars in the world. I ultimately fulfilled my dream of becoming an “agent to the stars” by becoming the Responsible Agent to the biggest star at the time - Whitney Houston- along with several other clients.

As a talent agent, I gained invaluable experience dealing with complex negotiations - from problem solving to being able to adapt and pivot - all the while utilizing my legal education in order to ultimately lead to the best deal I could possibly make for my clients. Trust me, when you’re making multi-million dollar deals all over the world for a superstar - what can go wrong will go wrong! You better have plenty of tools in your kit in order to make a deal happen. 

As a result of the pandemic, my son and his family decided they wanted an easier life, so a move to Ashland happened at the beginning of 2022. I quickly decided my life would be incomplete being so far away from my immediate family, so I put my house on the market and made the move back in June of ’22. Like I said, my ties run deep here and I returned to a big tribe of family and friends. 

I’ve been working since I walked into the Shanghai Noodle Factory (a very hip clothing boutique in the basement of the Rogue Ski Shop) at 15 and asked for a job, to Luby’s Mr. Sport (corner of Main and Riverside) my last few years of high school. I can’t imagine NOT working, so I decided to get my real estate license last year and bring the skills I learned all those years in Hollywood to every deal I work on.

I can’t wait to work hard and hit it out of the park for each and every client I represent…let’s hear it for third acts!!
